Our promise
Traditional Indian ghee never began with cream. It began with curd. Milk was set overnight, churned by hand in the morning, and the butter was simmered slowly until it turned to gold.
We have kept that order of things. Milk from native Gir cows is cultured into curd, hand-churned in a wooden bilona, and the butter is clarified over a low flame — unhurried, in small batches, the way it was done at home.
One ingredient. Milk fat from A2 Gir cow milk. Nothing else goes in, and nothing is taken out.
How it is made
The whole process takes days rather than hours. That is the point of it.
STEP 01
Milk from native Gir cows is collected each morning and taken straight to the dairy — no storage, no transfers.
STEP 02
The milk is gently warmed and set with a live culture, then left to turn slowly into thick curd overnight.
STEP 03
The cultured curd is hand-churned in a wooden bilona until the butter separates and rises on its own.
STEP 04
Why Golden Cattle
Curd first, then churning. The butter separates on its own, and the ghee that follows carries the aroma and grain that shortcuts cannot produce.
Milk from native Gir cows only. It is collected each morning and taken straight to the dairy, with nothing pooled or stored in between.
Every batch is churned and clarified by hand, watched over rather than left to a machine. Small batches are slower, and better.
